Should the SEC adopt a 9 game conference schedule?

Sounds good to me, can you make that happen...Have your people call my people.

Actually, neither Georgia or South Carolina played a team worse than Mercer....

But since your claim was it's an SEC thing, which I already showed is bullshit, let's look at the Pac-12

Keeping in mind, of course, that Oregon St at 131 is ranked 40 spots below the lowest SEC team, here are the shit PAC-12 OOC teams

Remember, Mercer is 149.

USC - Western Michigan #88 - kudos to the Trojans, it is a rare year when you break the 100 barrier
UCLA - Hawaii #153
Washington - Montana #136
Washington St - Montana St #133
Arizona St - New Mexico St 128
Utah - North Dakota 171, San Jose St 180
Cal - Weber St 88
Stanford - Rice 177
Colorado - Texas St 185, Northern Colorado 187
Arizona - Northern Arizona 143 UTEP 200
Oregon St - Portland St 217
Oregon - Southern Utah 104 - bet nobody was more surprised than the Ducks on that one.

You're delusional if you think the majority of these didn't get exactly what they thought they were getting when they scheduled these games. USC, gets a pass because they schedule well every year, kudos to you. I might give UCLA a pass on Hawaii, they probably, rightfully thought they were getting a better team, but the rest of this shitfest.

Eat a dick if you think any of this bullshit looks better than the SEC. Hats off to the Trojans, but if you guys think anybody else in your conference stacks up with your standards you are delusional.
Again, why are you ranking a FCS (Mercer) school with FBS schools? That is a false comparison.

Hell, the PAC 12, B1G and Big 12 should go back to an 8 game schedule instead of the other way around. Here's why.

There have been 16 spots in the four years of the CFP.
2014 - Pac 12, SEC, B1G, ACC (Big 12 left out)
2015 - SEC, B1G, ACC, Big 12 (Pac 12 left out)
2016 - Pac 12, SEC, B1G, ACC (Big 12 left out)
2017 - SEC, SEC, ACC, Big 12 (Pac 12, B1G left out)

Five conferences have been excluded from the CFP over four years. Big 12 twice, Pac 12 twice, B1G once. Only the conferences that play 9 conference games have been excluded...ergo, those should go back to 8 conference games.

Do you even realize how stupid you sound. It's not like we are trying to compare the '85 Bears to the '75 Yankees.

There are literally thousands of data points(games played) that we can use to compare these teams.

You can debate the accuracy of the rankings all you want, just like you can with any rankings, but to say you can't do it is right up there with flat earthers in my book.

Good lord. The SEC is king of plating crap FCS teams. What ever you show about the PAC its almost twice as bad in the SEC. Let me know when your program actually travels to an OOC opponets house. Untill then sit back and enjoy your Mercers and Chattanoogas and Citadels. Lol

Put up or shut up.

I just showed you where 12 Pac-12 teams played 13 teams in Mercer's league. Show me where 14 SEC teams played 32...that would be twice as bad. Or hell, i'll go with 16, that would be equal to your 13 in 12 teams.

Hell, show me where we played 16 teams worse than Oregon St at 131.

:L You are trying to compare (using your rating system) a team like Mercer and Grambling State to Alabama and USC. If you wish to continue, then go for it.

It's not his rating system, it's Sagarin's. Published by the USA Today and was part of the BCS.

I personally think it's dumb to rank both, but Sagarin does it and that's about the only use I have of his ratings - ranking bottom teir teams and seeing who's as bad as FCS teams.

Well then you are trying to think too much.

Compare: When it points out similarities or differences between two entities of the "SAME" general class".

If you're Oregon St every game is hard...road/away....USC/0-11 FCS Portland St.

I see you chose DEFLECT instead of put up or shut up. I would too if I was standing on the 3rd floor of my glass house.

Tell us again about how the SEC schedules twice as many shit games as the PAC-12

Tennessee played Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Georgia Tech is located in Atlanta.
Tennessee played at Florida.
Tennessee played at Alabama
Tennessee played at Kentucky
Tennessee played at Missouri

USC played at Washington St.
USC played at Arizona St.
USC played at Colorado
USC played at California
USC played at Notre Dame

Each had 5 away games.

Tennessee played at 4 schools who are going bowling.
USC played at 3 schools going bowling.

Alabama was Tennessee toughest away opponent this year
Notre Dame was USC's toughest away opponent this year

Seems fairly even if you ask me, unless you really need to swing off Oregon St's nuts.

How about 8 playoff teams and all conference champions (and 3 at large teams) go.

LOL. You need to talk to yur fellow SEC homers. They don't call neutral games away games and neither should you. Oh and USC went to play at OCC Notre Dame. Alabama had Tenn scheduled as a conference game. You might want to check what the difference is. LOL
I realize the concept of traveling to another team from another conferences home stadium might be just a myth something talked about like the boogie man in the SEC but some conferences actually do it.

I don't need to do anything. Why are you changing your argument to OOC games from away games? I'm not defending Alabama's schedule, simply replying to your statement about Tennessee's schedule while you tried to nutswing off Oregon St.

Not nearly as many as like to pretend that playing a game at home followed by a game away is significantly harder than 2 neutral site games.

Particularly if the neutral site games tend to be higher ranked opponents.

My bad, I thought we were talking about Division 1 football programs...clearly we must have been talking about something else and I was mistaken.

I wasn't the first one to bring up Oregon State. lol. That was 420. I just kept using them to make the comparisons look silly since he brought them up. Before bringing Oregon State up he should have checked to see they have finished ranked 5 fives since 2000 and play more true road games than most if not all of the SEC teams. Shit how many home games do SEC teams get a year 7-8? LOL. That's fking crazy.

Understood. I just hopped in the middle, so my apologies. I'm fine with not counting neutral games away games, but when Georgia Tech is located 1.7 miles away from the venue I don't know how that would be considered a neutral game. I'm fine with making the rule that you can only schedule 2 non p5 OOC games, but like the 8 game conference schedule. :2cents:
