He'll go to Seattle and have a HOF career, make the playoffs like once or twice and never win the AL. Seattle will go another 10 years without reaching the playoffs thus extending their record to over 25+.

In all seriousness, I don't think the Sox were really a realistic destination for him. I just don't know where he would have fit if he wanted to be a two way player (the only position really open would have been 1B and I don't know if he would want to play there), not to mention the Sox have plenty of pitching. I feel like the Cubs or one of the WC teams will land him. Maddon is one of the most creative managers in MLB, he'll find a way to have the guy pitch and then move him to another position. Getting revenge for Ruth would have been cool though.

He will likely do both at least for his rookie year. He is pretty much demanding that in deciding his first team.

After his rookie year, though, I think all bets are off.
