@jeffro151 Virginia finally gets ranked at 18. I thought they would have been ranked in the Top 25 anyway pre-season. The ACC has six ranked teams now.

Duke (1)
Notre Dame (5)
Miami (10)
North Carolina (13)
Louisville (17)
Virginia (18)

I never expected UVa to play this well this early. They look like they haven't missed a step with Perrantes gone. I'm sure there will be some pains along the way, but I am thrilled with how well they have played thus far.
From what I've seen so far, I'm liking how Kyle Guy has been stepping into the leadership role since Perrantes is gone.

cuse looking good tonight.....

That Maryland team is huge and thick. They didn't play all that well considering the weight advantage. But I have a feeling Maryland will get a lot better as they get deeper into the season.

The great thing as a basketball fan who watches a lot of Duke games, but the frustrating thing as a Duke fan, is that NOBODY ever has a bad game against the Blue Devils.

They always have the game circled on the calendar, they always play at their best, often they play over their heads. I watch a team play Duke, and they look great, and then I watch them in another game a week or two off, and they just look okay.

IU was a great example of it tonight - i only watched parts of one other IU game (the loss against Seton Hall a couple of weeks ago), but it was night and day how much better IU played today than that game.

But yet again, Duke pulls it out at the end.

If there's one thing I'm LOVING about this Blue Devil team, it's that their best stretch of the game is ALWAYS the last stretch of the game. No matter what the situation is, they could be ahead, they could be behind, or they could be in a nailbiter like tonight's was, but when the clock is winding down on the second half, the Blue Devils are playing their best basketball of the game, consistently every game. That's a pattern that bodes very well if it continues.

Play of the game.

FSU is just terrorizing opponents defensively. Also great at slashing to the basket and finding the 7-footers for high % shots.

Still need more than one player with midrange game. And more than two players with any type of consistent 3-point shot. Conference play will be unkind to FSU if they can't get better in those 2 areas.

Thought these commitments were weird at the time. Pretty early, and it looks like VT's staff just misidentified their talents and potential.

Geno Thorpe didn't last long. SU announced today that he's leaving the program for personal reasons.

He got yanked quickly a couple of times in the Maryland game. I have a feeling things were not working out at SU the way he had hoped.

Syracuse's offense immediately becomes more efficient with this "loss".

They just aren't scoring enough points. This was the final game of Josh Okogie's suspension.
Still . Grambling has looked decent this year comparatively but that's a bad loss. I think they were 20+ point favorites

This is a terrible loss. I've been pretty consistent in my opinion that this Tech team isn't going to the NCAA's. Just too limited on offense, even when Okogie returns. Alvarado is good, but I thought he was an under the radar recruit coming out.
