You were complaining about winning percentage, which would be the same if you played each league team once or a dozen times. Huggins is a HOF coach, and his teams have been trending upward since the lost class.

Means i get to play the dredges in the conference twice a year

HUH, did you REALLY just type that? It wasn't very long ago that lack of style points in wins were reason to change coaches, now scoring in the second half doesn't matter??????

Well back in the day when we played the sisters of the poor every other week in the Big East you needed style points..

You are correct then, style points do not matter then.....1000 pardons if I ever argued for the style point....in relation to this conversation...yes we did not score in the second half of the last two games, but we won both games which is why it is confusing why you would point this out as a weakness of some sort.

I am sure someone could say that not to long ago winning games with defense mattered in keeping coaches, not that i am saying that, but someone could say that had been said before on these boards and others.

Now I do agree I would like to see this team score consistently and often, neither of those things cost us these two games and looking back was not the reason for loss 1 and 2....IMO. And hell which one of us does not want the offense to do everything perfect and score every time we have the ball...if that is your argument :L

I thought is was interesting you used 5% when talking about the offense and the passing game and wanted to see how close we were to that number...

13.77% of our completions go for TD
8.81 % of our pass attempts go for TD

If 14% of the time you score a TD while completing a pass.....what is wrong with that? Every 100 completions we score 14 TDs? I will take that. We avg 100 pass attempts per three games(you can do the math)

Navy is the top rushing team in the country, they avg a rushing TD 5.45% of attempts
Zona is number 3 in the country, they avg a rushing TD 8.64% of attempts (that kid is the next Pat White)

I am bored this evening......

Just going to point out that we won both games where we did not score in the second half.......so how important is that really????
Didn't matter in those two but offensive inconsistency may well have mattered in the Okie State game. Offense capitalizes on the turnovers and...who knows:noidea:? Solid first half vs VT and...

No question the offense has had some issues and that's scary considering some of the numbers that it has produced while being hot and cold.

3 WR's and a RB on the doorstep of 1000 yards and Grier throwing for a couple hundred miles...If we DO ever put together a full game or two gawd help us all.

The offensive ineptitude is an issue, it cost us the OSU game, played a part in the VPI loss, could easily have cost us either of the last two games if they would have capitalized on the turnovers. four turnovers a game keeps lesser teams in it, not scoring in the second half emboldens the opponent. I will take a win anyway it comes, but the issues you slough off have and will continue to cost us games.

How many of those are road wins against Kansas? Should be holding a HOF Coach to a higher standard right?

So let me understand this you are comparing The Big East to the Big12..even Kansas would have been close to 500 in the Big East...

But they didn't.....ummm we gave up 50 points to OSU, that all on the offense?. 246 yards on the ground. Team loss, just like Iowa St and KSU were team wins. Played a part in the Va Tech loss, well so did leaving WR's open and letting them drive down the field at will...

Back to playing games I see...

I thought DAD made excuses for how seasons under Billy could have been so much better if his offense didn’t turn the ball over so many times. Didn’t have so many ST gaffes...

Now he’s questioning wins despite not seeing the offense fire on all cylinders?

Cracks me up big time...

Kansas would not be 500 in the MAC!!!!!! They can't compete with 1AA teams, let alone any 1A team not coached by Holgorsen or a lame duck Strong...........

I don't remember Holgy losing to Stephen F Austin or anything that looks like a Stephen F Austin...

The 2013 team was not very good... if I remember correctly.

WVU's basketball team that lost to SFA was a #3 seed. This indicated the committee felt they were one of the top 12 teams in the country.

Losing to KU and ISU when the defense was playing 9 FR and RS FR due to injury... was using a walk-on QB... is not a fair comparison.
