Jets/Bills/Dolphins absolutely.

Broncos have had a really good run this era and the Chargers had a good run before that

Thats the entire point

Yes on the AFC South, thats definitely your best argument

49ers and Cards have had some teams that have been really good, teams that would have destroyed those AFC East teams
And there have been good Jets teams, and good Dolphins teams, and the Bills have had seasons where they are a very good "worst" team so it's not like the Jets/Dolphins are beating up on the Rams and those shitty 49ers teams.

Numbers Lie

No division has spent the past 15 seasons with teams as bad as the Jets/Dolphins and Bills

But don't numbers prove exactly that?

I'm a Pats fan, but I have no problems admitting that the Bills and Dolphins are low-quality teams, and as @Mangler used to remind us, "The Jets Suck!"

Yeah notice I didn't mention the AFC West, NFC East, or NFC South? I'm not saying the AFC East is the best division in football, I'm saying you are exaggerating how bad they are compared to other divisions.

This has been a very enjoyable thread. We are all being shown an angry New Yorker in his natural habitat.

NFL sucks... Everyones quitting
Suh sucks
AFC East sucks
Watching the Dolphins three straight weeks sucks
Pats fans suck
QBs from the AFC East suck

Do I really need to keep going?

Why not just admit your life sucks, get some proffessional help and stop self medicating here every day?

I think there is an argument about level of QB play in the AFC keeping it down but you can make that case for the entire AFC. The AFC has had a Brady/Peyton parity issue that probably isnt going to leave until Brady regresses or steps down.

For the record, I like Dirt. Cool guy. It's a messageboard and I enjoy chatting with him. And I've never seen him turn a conversation into a name-calling douchefest unless he's provoked into it.

For the record, I enjoy him too and was only busting his balls (like we do to each other every day).

Yeah that's pretty clear when you look at the AFC representatives in the Super Bowl over the last 14 seasons:

2003: Brady
2004: Brady
2005: Roethlisberger
2006: Manning
2007: Brady
2008: Roethlisberger
2009: Manning
2010: Roethlisberger
2011: Brady
2012: Generational Talent/Elite QB
2013: Manning
2014: Brady
2015: Manning
2016: Brady

Angry NY'er is redundant.

Of course hypothetically

Given your choice between me making love to your wife, wrong question

Given your choice, as a Pats fan, which other division would you rather have played in the past say 15 years?

Why fault the Patriots for dominating the AFC East? The should beat up on weak teams, regardless of what division they're in. Belichick has been HC for a long time, and understands those teams' ins and outs and knows how to beat them. That's part of being prepared for every game.

I would fault the Patriots if they did not dominate their division year after year, because they should.

And I make love to Gisele? No deal

Well that would depend on what team they would be replacing. And the question doesn't really work because I'm replacing a sure-thing in dominating the AFC East with a question mark on whether or not they would dominate the other division. I'm confident they would, but obviously I'm 100% confident they dominated the AFC East. But, for argument's sake, the AFC South without thinking twice as long as they replace the Colts in the Manning years. And the NFC North and NFC West would be toss-ups.

AFC South (swapping with the Colts), NFC North (swapping with the Pack) definitely. Perhaps NFC North (swapping with the Steelers) although that is a much tougher call.

I think some of that isn't an exact science. The Ravens aren't really a fluke in this situation because 2 of Mannings seasons had a stout defense for the playoffs and Big Ben's 2005 season had a really stout defense.

I think you can win a super bowl with an average QB but literally everything has to go your way and you have to be bringing a well above average defense with some HOF type veterans.
