Total Bullshit....I believe ALL those teams youre mentioning would win the AFC East every season, the list is very long, the teams you could swap with NE and they would win the East

So youre telling me Aaron Rodgers would be losing the division to Tyrod Taylor? Or Russell Wilson and Seattle? Or Atlanta? Or New Orleans? On and On and On and On
What? No that isn't what I said

Really? What 8 years did they have 2 or 3 "AFC juggernauts"?

Steelers and Ravens have been seen as AFC powerhouses for a good part of Flacco/Ray Lewis and Bens' careers

And there have been Dalton seasons where they have had some strong teams

Over the last several years, the Patriots have a better winning percentage outside their division than within the division. You guys can keep squirming, but the numbers don't lie!
I really don't see this as the micdrop you act like it is given it's intra-division.

Homefield advantage is enormous in the NFL

if New England played in the NFC, in any division, you think they are mostly guaranteed homefield every season before it even kicks off?

Now of course thats because they are a great team, no doubt...But to act like that doesnt have a lot to do with the Jets/Bills and Dolphins, youre being naive
The Pats have had homefield advantage in the AFC 5 times in the last 15 years.

Youre saying that if the patriots swapped with any top team from other divisions, they would clean the clocks of that division, and Id talk about the weakness of that division

Not true, I really do believe Miami, the Jets and the Bills are perennial doormats, I dont feel that way about every single division

Hey Dirt, I think you are punishing the Pats for just being that good.

Its like Saying when the Cowboys dominated the division (you know back in the dinosaur days) in the 90's that the rest of the division was weak. The NFC east back then was still a tough division.

Honestly at the beginning of this debate between you & Rocko I was leaning towards what you were saying. But I think in the end Rocko won this debate. (well atleast since 2010)

Well, it all comes down to whether you think Miami/The Jets and the Bills have been good football teams the past decade or so

I respect your opinion

Basically, the AFCE has had, on the whole, very mediocre resistance for the better part of 15 years now. As a whole, that doesn't make it a bad division per se, especially if you average it and don't weight the FOTM/Y teams if you will as they go up and down, but it doesn't offer much at all against a great and consistent team like the Patriots.

Take the Packers for instance. One of the Vikings/Lions/Bears has pretty consistently given them a run for their money during the Rodgers era; a comparable QB talent. Can you say the same for Brady's division, even if the Packers team you believe is actually better (it's not). I don't really think you can. Most certainly not since the Ryan Jets went down the drain.

So name the 8 seasons then. The Ravens were a powerhouse from 2008-2012, when they had the 3rd best record in the AFC. Outside of those 5 years, they were a middle of the pack team for the other 10.

Pffffffttttt. During Rodgers era, who has given him a run? Stafford? Not really. Bridgewater - kinda small sample size. And no one on the Bears.

Okay well sorry I don't believe that for a second. If the Pats played the Texans, Jaguars, and Titans for the last 15 years they would be just as successful. Same with the Bears/Lions/Vikings and same with the Cardinals/Rams/49ers.

I think its so obvious, and I look like a "Hater for pointing it out"

Id ask the fan of any contending team this:

Chiefs Fan - In this era, would you have rathered contend annually with the Jets/Bills/Fins or SD/Denver/Oaklnd

Cowboys Fan - In this era, would you have rathered the Jets.Bills/Fins or Giants/Wash/Philly

Steelers fan - Same, or Ravens/Bengals

Any fan of the NFC South

Seattle - Arizona/Some really good Niner teams?

I think the answer would be pretty unanimous accross the baord

Yes on the AFC South, thats definitely your best argument

49ers and Cards have had some teams that have been really good, teams that would have destroyed those AFC East teams

well I think Harbaugh's Niners would have been tough.

Jets/Bills/Dolphins absolutely.

Broncos have had a really good run this era and the Chargers had a good run before that
