Dallas has a pretty big game against Atlanta first, so let's hope it is a really physical, tough game.

I like our chances against the Cowboys. It will be a good barometer for where the team is at. If they can win, it will all but lock up the division, barring an epic collapse down the stretch.

Eagles win this game by at least 2 TD's I predict the score will be 28-10

1. The Eagles have 2 weeks to prepare for the Cowboys. That is huge IMO. We have 2 weeks to disect the Bronco's and Rams game tapes to put a plan in place to beat them. IMO with Darby back the Eagles have the talent good enough in the secondary to control the Cowboys receivers.

2. Everyone is sleeping on the Eagles performance against the best defense in the NFL. The Bronco's have lost 4 straight games and all of a sudden they suck? Even with the losing record their defense did their part. Against the Chiefs amidst 5 turnovers the Broncos only gave up 1 offensive touchdown. 29 points given up in that game and only 1 TD. The Bronco's defense is ever bit as good as their stats say they are.

3. After beating the Chiefs the Cowboys dick sucking campaign has begun. Everyone is now clamoring to get to the front of the line to drop to their knees in front of the mighty Cowboys. Well I am not impressed. The win against the Chiefs did nothing to change my opinion of the Cowboys. The Chiefs have one of the worst defenses in the NFL 30th vs the Run and 28th against the pass. The Cowboys should have beaten them at home. Andy Reid turned into old Andy though.....9 Rushes for Hunt? Unbelieveble.

4. The Eagles have the best front 7 in the NFL. We have the talent up front to do to the Cowboys what the Bronco's did. We do not need to load the box to stop Zeke. The Eagles are giving up only 66 yard a game. That is pretty impressive.

Bottom line is this. The Cowboys go as far as Elliot takes them. Shut him down and you shut down the Cowboys and I think their secondary is horrible. Against a team with weapons they can get exposed. The Eagles have a top 5 offense and it is not a fluke.

Cowboys are a joke on defense. We have two weeks to prepare. Doug, Wentz and the gang are great at preparation.

It is going to be a tough game

The 2 weeks is certainly going to help not only for game preparation but also hopefully nagging injuries get cleared up

I don't see Dallas sleeping on the Eagles performance - maybe other teams would do that but not Dallas because this is a division rival for them

As far as Broncos are concerned - It was an impressive performance by the Eagles but I live in Colorado and I can say this with 100% certainty - the Broncos absolutely suck and I love it

I agree with PhillyGreen - stop Elliot but as part of that Eagles also have to make sure Dak is contained

I think Eagles win this one but it will be a close game

I'm still shocked that Doc is gone. He was probably one of my all time favorite pitchers all time. I got to see him pitch during his days in Toronto. You just knew anytime he was on the mound, there was a very good chance he was getting a win and double digit strikeouts. Loved him as a Phillie. Now what pisses me off is reading from some Facebook blogs and reading the ridiculous bitterness from Canadians feeling butthurt that all the coverage is showing him as a Phillie and not Jay? Who gives a fuck! Enjoy the time he dominated for both teams and get over yourselves. Anyway, RIP Doc, MLB just lost a wonderful ball player and human being.

Being a Jays fan, he was the best pitcher in franchise history with the exception of Dave Stieb. He was a gamer, and was the only good thing to watch on the Jays during his heyday with us. I can't speak for my fellow "CPBs" (Canadian Prick Bastards, as Wings used to refer to us back in the day) but I'm glad that he got the opportunity to go to a contender at the time, and at least get a taste of the post-season. Fantastic player and an even greater human being (responsible for a tremendous amount of charitable work in the Toronto area)... he will be missed.

As long as they have Elliott, they will be a problem... Zeke is no ordinary back, I don't care how good the opposing defense is, you have to account for him at all times and it opens up their passing game. To me the key is to get pressure on Dak early and often, he struggles at times when he's forced into quick throws that aren't part the play design.

I know their defense sucks, but it's a divisional game - always tough and they are starting to gain momentum; they are one of the few teams in the NFC I'm concerned about in the 2nd half of the season - I wish the courts would get on with Zeke's suspension already so we won't have to deal with him.

This is not the same Cowboys team as last year. They are missing a lot of the pieces they had. However....with that said I believe we were better than them last year and definitely better than them this year. With or without Zeke.

A lot of people are forgetting that last year we were beating the shit out of them until they made their comeback. Yes....the game is 60 minutes but we had arguably the worst secondary in the NFL last year and were giving them all they could handle. This year is different. I think we have the better QB, WR's and TE and easily the better defense.

That is true.

Is anyone else noticing how a lot of people are downplaying what the Eagles did to the Bronco's defense?

He touched a lot of hearts not just in baseball, but a few Flyers players as well. Like I said, he was one of my all time favorites and I really hope he gets into the HOF because he deserves it with his dominance during the day. I could care less if hi hat is a Blue Jay or Phillie as long as he gets his name in Cooperstown. Still can't believe this.

No. But only because I do not pay any attention to things contrary to what my eyes....hath....seen!

the biggest difference on defense is the CB play, and they way they look back. We have had so many plays by both Douglas and Robinson where they had their hands on the ball for an INT but couldn't hold onto it. And these guys are really our #4 and #5 behind Darby, Jones and Mills. And that is not counting McDougle. The play by our CB's has been outstanding and a 1000 times better than last year, where we couldn't get ANYONE to look back and play the ball. This is the single biggest difference in this defense, and it is HUGE.

AS far as DAL, I want to play them with Zek. I want no excuses. I want no handicaps. I think wishing for him not to be there, is to say you don't think your team is ready for the playoffs or to win a SB. GARBAGE!! We need to be challenged, and to be the best, we need to beat the best. It's only making us better and stronger. Lets play them with Zek and put this dog down. We are absolutely the better team. Of course it will be the toughest game in the division - but that's why we play the game.

actually I saw an article on espn (can't find it right now) that was the complete opposite. They were making a case for Wentz being the MVP and they used a lot of the bronco's game and the subtleties of scheme and play to illustrate just how bad we beat one of the better defenses in the lead and did it in historic fashion. They were giving us a lot of credit.

Also Wentz is said to be the leading candidate for MVP right now and Peterson coach of the year. I think they are just talking about us right now - and the haters are hating, and it's always easy to go against the grain and what is obvious to get a reaction and response. But many are seeing the eagles for what we are right now.

Zeke officially gone for 6 games ... certainly improves our chances against the Pokes, but deep down I wanted to see him in there for our game.

His presence doesn't matter to me. This team has to win regardless of who the opponent is putting on the field.
