1. Lots of hatred coming from other schools at road games. Banners in the stands calling you QUITTERS and other signs saying FINALLY THE TRASH IS TAKING ITSELF OUT. You know, lots of love....
2. Hate speech from teams like Kansas because their basketball is the only thing keeping the Big12 afloat and Mizzou because they are the best at insert all sports and academic programs here.
3. From UT: the "you're not going to be able to recruit in Texas anymore" because you lose the privilege to play UT, and that is evidently what all Texas kids want. Just like Adrian Peterson etc....
And I do understand that you in fact ARE in Texas, but don't tell that to UT, they'll remove you from the map.
4. Keep an eye out for sketchy refs. Yeah, that may be conspiracy theory at best, but it'd be something to be mindful of...
5. And finally, when you are gone, look for the rest of the conference to embrace a hippie, Brady Bunch-esque feel-good mantra coming out of League meetings. Something like this:
