Damn, I kmow its only 2 games against Avs and Sabres, but this team looks like it has so much more speed and skill than last year. Bratt, Nico, Butcher, Mojo all looking very good. Hell, Mueller looking solid as well. Don't know how many wins it translates to, but they'll certainly be fun to watch....suckering me into center ice

They scored a shorty down 5 on 3...against the Leafs no less.

I think it's safe to say this team can do some damage this year. Yes it's early, but you can see a completely new and fresh philosophy. I'm pumped!

Been fun so far. I still expect some bad stretches but will take 3-0 and 16 goals. I remember being scored on 5 on 3 but when was last time we scored down two?

Cory has been great this year and it really hides the bad defense. It hasn't been horrible but if there is one complaint it's the defense isn't there yet mueller is meh but I will give them time.


This was a gutsy win last year the Devils would've given up 2-2 or folded 5-3 and made it ,ore interesting but they kept attacking and got the 6th. That bang bang pass behind the net for zacha first was sick.


Two things hall needs to get going and same with nico. Is his parents going to follow him til he scores

Yeah hoping defense comes around with experience. Shots against so far are 41 against Avs, 25 against Buffalo and 50 last night against the Leafs. We can't maintain giving up 35+ shots a night, Cory will be gassed by Thanksgiving.

How about Butcher with 5 assists so far? That's exactly what we were expecting from him, would be huge if he could keep it up.

defense can be a little shaky if we can put up +5 goals a game like we are doing... its nice to see this kind of scoring and speed,,, so happy i got center ice.... wash will be a good test as well frid night,,,, go devils

glad we have the scoring(temporary or not) down first... the defense, if really questionable, can be straighten out throughout the season.

Not worried about Nico at all. His hockey IQ and skill is nuts. The assist he had on Monday, not many can make that play. He will get his first goal. Nico, Hall, and Palms will be fine. I am happy that others are stepping up which is something that we have not seen in years.

Bratt has been awesome. That pass to Zacha was unbelievable. Split second decision, no hesitation.

Defense is a worry and we all knew that. What has improved is our offense and transition game.

About the shots, why is it that I don't feel like its been that many shots on goal against? I see the totals but think its half. Maybe because the shots are mostly weak? don't know.

Need to get as many of these early season victories as we can while we can still surprise teams. Soon people will realize we're a very skilled team and won't be caught flat-footed.
