Uh, no. Sorry this does not appear to be living up to the hype.
The guys are all great friends, and the rest of the world does not have much cohesiveness.
Plus Matsuyama appears to be a wreck right now.

One of the worst tournaments going. I understand why this event exists....but until it becomes a true competition, it serves little purpose.

The world without Europe sucks.

Surprised there aren't more Asian men at tour level with how the Asian women are taking over the LPGA.

Jordan Spieth, you screwed up, you know it take the penalty and move on (Yes, I know I am late to this and it had no barring on the outcome of the match). It's a dumb rule in that instance but its a rule and you can't pick and choose when to enforce it

Yes on both accounts. He also makes himself look like a spoiled brat at times as well.

once the ball is past the hole, is it really still in play? Common sense should play some part in the rules.

technically it could have hit something and come back to the hole so that's where the rule is in play. However you can't pick and choose when to enforce a rule just because of a "certain" circumstance

They do... But a rule is a rule... You can't change it. Perhaps next year this is something the rules committee can look into but right now it's on the books and has to be enforced. I agree with you but you can't change it now

I'm saying, change these rules so in the future, so you aren't enforcing a stupid rule on live TV looking like an idiot.

The worst this year was the guy watching TV reporting Lexi Thompson having her ball 1mm off from her previous mark. Those officials had to feel like fucking retards.

well the whole calling in thing to say a rules violation is utterly ridiculous and NEVER should have been allowed. He wasn't looking stupid, the official ruled On a rule ON the rule book

I was traveling last week on a little golf trip myself and was totally out of touch with the Pres Cup until Sat night...unfortunately, it was nearly over already...almost literally.

So, I didn't bother to watch the singles.

Guys...it's too bad that Lexi lost that major because an over zealous TV viewer thought they were protecting the field that they are not even playing in.

That said...IIRC, she was too careless with that mark...she was more than an inch off replacing it.
