I think they need to let him walk this offseason. The guy is made of glass - And now he has back issues. Back issues don't seem like something that will just go away and stay away.

Hot take - Eifert is out of the NFL within 3 years.

I agree. He is super talented, but he will cost too much for this organization who have multiple players to try and sign this off season, with an injury report longer than his stat sheet. I love Eifert, glad he was a Bengal, but it is time to move on. Kroft is no superstar, but he appears solid enough to be a starter if the rest of the offense is surrounded by talent.

Atkins is much more important to try and sign this offseason, along with hopefully finding a "quality" tackle and guard on the FA market that is not going to cost a fortune.

We may be looking at another offensive coordinator if the offense is more like the second half Bengals versus the 1st half Bengals in last Sunday's game.

Burfict back, Browns on the horizon. If we are going to push this division at all, it is win this week, or tank the rest of the season.

All I know is this. If we let Marvin go, and we look for another head coach, I don't want to see any of the scouts or Duke Tobin go anywhere. They have done there job finding talent in the draft. Now, can the coaching staff get the most out of them.

Still steamed about letting Elliott go.

And then signs with the Patriots and wins a Superbowl since Belichick will be able to switch between him and Gronk and keep them both healthy for an entire season.

They can actually franchise him. The number is rather palatable considering the cap. Yes, probably a waste of money, but it might be worth the roll of the dice. You get good Eifert for one year/playoffs and it could be great. If you continue with bad Eifert, it's not like the tag kills the cap on this team.

Atkins has one more year on his deal after this season. At that point in time, he'll have played for almost a decade and be past 30. They'll have to decide at that point whether to simply franchise him for one more season or to try to work out a deal. Someone will overpay him if he hits FA even though he's old - Look at Whitworth and the deal he scored from the Rams.

Unfortunately, this is a problem the Bengals are going to run into with AJ Green pretty soon as well. Along as other key players. This is what happens when you dick around for years and waste the primes of All-Pro level players.

I would not have an ounce of blame for AJ Green to hold out for a trade right now. The Bengals are ridiculous.

Wouldn't happen.

It's exceedingly rare for players like AJ to get traded. In the NFL there's simply too much involved with the cap and etc....to make it really work for higher paid super stars. It's a big reason why you rarely ever see it.

If you are a Cincinnati Bengal all pro, you demand to be traded until you end up on a real NFL team. It's what you do.
