But it isn't. Defenders need to protect the head of defenseless receivers. It's exactly why this rule exists. It's abused 99% of the time but IMO that was a perfect example of when it should be called. Defenders need to ease up and hit lower on those plays.

O'Korn lacks timing on his deep passes because he probably didn't get many reps in practice unlike Speight. His skillset also looks like something a Big 12 air raid offense or spread would work better with so it's no wonder Harbaugh went with the pylon pro style in Speight.
