I laughed at the Gregorius trade at the time, but no longer. Never expected him to hit like this. He stole Sonny Gray, too. Not that Gray is the same guy in the AL East, but I liked that move!

ahhh, Grays Yankee ERA was 2.66 before his last rough start

Between him and Severino, thats pretty good for the next 5 years, and build around that

Severino and Sonny Gray ,if Tanaka stays, and they could bring CC back on a one year incentive laden deal, and Montgomery is more than good as a #5.......

That's serviceable, but that's not a team that looks dominant at all. Any concern about all the innings on Severino this year? He's still young and they are working him hard. I suppose he doesn't have Boras for an agent, though, or we would be hearing a lot about that.

You have Gray for the next 2 years? Is that right? I like the move. I also like the fact that the Red Sox seem to beat him.

I mean, its definitely the best in the division, and outside of Cleveland maybe? Who really is in better shape?

yeah, I worry about next season with Severino and his innings, I doubt it creeps in now at this point, he's actually pitched his best here for a few weeks

Yeah, you could have Gray, the Yankees being about 6-0 vs Sale this season also has me pumped

He's so brittle these days, Rocko. I'm amazed anytime he gets up and isn't shaking something off. I'm taking the under on all your predictions except for the TD's.

He doesn't know how to land softly or gracefully. Goes down like a sack of nails hard every time.

Kelce last weekend hurdled the goal line and several players, sort of landed on his head but seemed to do it softly and bounced right up.

It's weird. If I told you before the season that Drew Pomeranz would be a top 10 pitcher in the AL this year, you would have laughed your ass off. Baseball is a weird sport like that. Porcello was a force last year and he (mostly) sucks this year. I like Severino & Gray on paper. I'm not necessarily buying another year of CC. You might be pushing your luck there. Montgomery has been pretty good, for sure. Tanaka is hit or miss, but they need him to stay.

I checked in over there this AM. Haven't been on the boards much over the last few months, overall. Things are good on this end, though. No real complaints(other than my dog throwing up in my car on the way to work today). My daughter just started 1st grade. How's the fam?

Yeah, Pomeranz always had it, but like Porcello, would you be surprised if he completely sucks next season?

I know, good take on CC, id push my luck only at the Yankee price, and with incentives...Its a risk, they need to minimize it.......

Tanaka just had an awful start, I actually wouldnt mind him opting out, and think its still possible, especially with a strong October...But if he stays, Im good, he's been mostly worth every penny so far

Wouldn't surprise me AT ALL if Pomeranz and Porcello sucked next season. Would it shock you if Severino lost it and looked like 2016 Severino? You never know with these guys.

Tanaka has absolutely been worth the money. He gets Porcello money and I would probably prefer Tanaka most years. His opt out is a tough call!! I could see him finishing strong and testing the market. There aren't many good pitchers out there, so i think he can make more as a free agent this Winter.

Nice! Glad to hear it. I have to say that the market out here for Pizza(and burgers) is completely saturated these days. Choose your location wisely!

Tanaka is opting out. He knows 100% that he can beat 3/$67 million on the open market.

yes, Im not thrilled with the California idea at all, Id rather tap into small towns in middle america where you cant find good pizza (I know someone that opened in Charleston, SC, and is killing it)

But my brother is in Santa Barbara, and these pizza guys, the most important part of the operation, are jacked up with the idea of Cali.........I only have the money for one decent investment right now, so if it doesnt fit, Ill be out pretty easily on the Cali thing, and dive into another location down the line

Yeah, he looks every bit like an ace this year. A true #1. But it's hard to forget the guy who sucked last year and was up and down from the minors. His stuff is definitely there...but what about his head?
