figured @DUB and I, and I'm sure some others, would appreciate some discussion around FAAB (especially since we don't use it in our leagues here.....wait, why don't we start using it in our leagues here???)

2 Leagues with FAAB, one is half PPR half rush/rec 1st downs, the other is full PPR
so here goes:

Cohen - 20-25% Really think he is a must add in any PPR format, as the bears are lacking WRs, and the 2013 Bucs targeted RBs 87 times (Glennon made 13 starts)

Carson - 10-20% Not as high on him in PPR formats with Prosise currently taking those snaps, but having a hard time seeing Lacy with the seahawks past a few more weeks of that shit. seriously, if he doesn't have a major cap hit, cut this turd and let this kid run free.

Buck Allen - 8-10% Probably a good bet to get the passing down work, but West is still holding his own, and will dominate red zone carries, imo. Could be wrong, but I'd rather spend my funds on the previous two if I get my choice

Any Zona RB? - won't be placing any bids on these guys

Tolbert - 1-5% might be putting a small claim in on the cannonball. BUF RB2 has been fantasy relevant no matter who they use recently, why not Tobert?

feel free to add any players and any thoughts

3 WR leagues, Agholor needs to be owned. 20% maybe?

Charles Clay is going to be targeted a lot. Not sure I'd pay much though.

I went 35% on a $200 budget for a keeper PPR league for Cohen. I have a good amount of RB's but need someone I can count on for production. As Mixon, Mack, Kelley, Henry and Lacy disappointed. Have to get someone as insurance for whenever Zeke goes on suspension.

I prefer Buck allen over Tarik Cohen... might be the only one... but i am not sold on tarik being anything more than a low end RB2... Even if Howard goes down, Cohen will not become the #1 runner, he is just too small... He will remain the receiving back... Allen, who is the raven's receiving back, actually can become the RB 1 if West goes down...

is there anyone else you can drop??? Cuffing for players you don't have is a risk because the point of cuffing is to always have a starter, cuffing for a player you don't have that spot might be a zero all season... BUT if Bell goes down, you will have a RB1...

BUT i do think Allen has value as a flex right now...

so i guess i would drop Conner... But i would be very upset if Bell goes down...

Adding RB Chris Carson to the FAAB mix.. if you have the bench spot putting a 3 to 5 percent on him now is cheap if he takes over that backfield. Upside if you have the room.

I think I over spent by a fair amount on Cohen $70. With the limited keepers (10) I didn't go after Golladay. As i'm stacked at WR with two very good bench options already. But he went for only $4 lol. But at least I still have $128 left and now I know the groups spending habits a bit more than before.

Here's what I was able to pull:

half PPR/half rush rec 1st downs, start 2RB, 2WR and 2 flex, budget is 250:
Witten $6
Carson $11
---------------
Cohen went for 51, I bid 41
Hurns went for 5
Kerwynn went for 30 (same guy that took Cohen)
Buck Allen 20

full PPR, start 2RB, 3WR and flex, budget 100:
Agholor - $0 bid, dropped Kenny Britt - nice steal imo
----------------
Hurns went for 3
Cohen 38
Kerwynn 20
Carson 14
Buck Allen 13

I think there were many solid players available in week 1. Nobody worth spending more than 15% on though, IMO. I don't see any difference makers here. Solid flex plays, but not worth breaking the bank for.

Cohen and CARSON are my 2 favorite with Allen 3rd. Kupp is the WR to invest in, IMO.

I also do FAAB, but there is no budget and you have to pay what you bid for people out of your pocket. So, not used to holding things back. I try not to make any moves during the first 3 or 4 weeks, unless someone just hits the wire that absolutely shouldn't or something unexpected happens (like your GD kicker getting in a holdout situation, then going on IR, or your golden handcuff getting cut after the preseason). So, I put bids on Tolbert and Cobb and Allen and an IDP (Derrick Johnson). I got Tolbert and Johnson for the minimum and said goodbye to Kevin White's broken collerbone and Darren McFadden's clusterfuck of a situation.

Cohen (who I don't buy at all), Cobb, Allen, and another IDP were the only guys who went to an auction. You only have to pay your bid amount if 2 people claim the same person. Cohen went for $17, Cobb for $10, and Allen for $5.78.

Not sure if this is any help to you guys, but I figured I could keep you guys in the loop if it helps you out.
