I think the Tigers will need to sign a free agent left fielder. I can't see going into the season with Mahtook in CF and Castellanos in RF and some AAA outfielder in left. Don't need to break the bank, but get someone with experience and who is capable of hitting .275 with a little power.

One year deal?

Stewart could start the year at Toledo I guess. But he has 1400 abs as a pro now. Will be 24 next year and has 58 homers the last two seasons. I'd go with him. Not like it's going to hurt any.

I could understand the Illitch family unloading something that was, admittedly, dad's pet project. But as long as the team remains in Detroit - and isn't bought by the owner of Papa Johns Pizza - it will be fine with me.
