Loved that little guy.

I restored a 62 Lark to give to my Dad. I love 'Bakers, Hudsons and Packards but would love to restore a basic 1932 Buick to drive coast to coast for a vacation:

I always liked the 1963 Vette split window myself...

For what you actually have once you find an un-restored car like that, determines what you do with it. Parts are so hard to find that nothing original can be found. And even if you found everything you needed to put the car together, all original....then what ? You drive it any distance and you will need to repair and/or replace things. Guess what ? They are still hard to find ! That's why they are not driven often and why they are worth so much. More like a piece of art at that age.

I agree with everything you said. But I love those cars and doing that would be a lot more about me than the car. Were I able to do that, and I never will, I would want to stay on US Highways for the whole trip. It would be traveling without a schedule and that is a dream vacation to me.

Probably a mid-thirties Ford with a rumble seat.

Am currently trying to get a better deal on this truck.

Would need an engine and tranny, new chassis and a lot of work but it could look something like this if we make the deal....

big rich kid like you should hammer out a retro-mod 59' Dodge panel wagon…gawd those things are awesome!

you can't kill a dodge 318…believe me, i tried.

Did you know the Chrysler 318 and 440 are the only gas engines to be really marinized for boats in salt water....with brass gaskets and everything? They are so much better than Chevy 350 and 454s, it's not even close.

Still, with young kids I'm off collectibles for awhile. They just destroy everything.
