I can't really say in that my parents split before I was born and both have passed since... I just know that sometimes what sucks personally doesn't make it's way to the person you'd like it to... only way I can think of is open honest conversations, you may learn some crazy shit about your dad that you never would have believed... don't mind me, I'm on drugs and stuff lol...
