Ive recently stumbled on this particular style. Seems absolutely perfect for a sipping beer when it's hot outside. I love the sour notes without being too sour. So far the two I've tried have been very refreshing. One offering from Sierra Nevada and the other fromAvery. Any other input you guys can offer?

Anderson Valley's goses are really good, and I think they have a pretty wide distribution area.

Yes, if you can't find Westbrook's gose, then definitely, the Anderson Valley litany of Gose's are solid, from their Blood Orange to the Briny Melon. I agree, the coriander/salt perfection of this style is amazing on hot summer days.

Just tried this. It's not bad. A bit too sour for my liking.

This is the Avery one I tried. Perfect summer beer.

This stuff is pretty good. A little more sour than the El Gose and Otra-Vez. It's a great sit down and sip beer. Get just a hint of spice at the end to smooth the taste out.

This stuff is the best. It usually becomes available in April. It's April now.

They're not all the same. Which one did you try?

It was a seasonal from a local brewery here. They're small potatoes.

I'll give em another shot when/if I see one, but the one I had made me pucker.

Some of them are definitely too sour. Try to Sierra Nevada Otra-Vez.

Just had a pickle gose from a local craft Brewer named collusion. It kinda stunk on the nose but was surprisingly interesting on the mouth.

Tried this one this week. Really solid. Just enough tart without making you pucker. Definitely recommend this one.

Pickle Gose, huh? I'd be willing to try it if I ever saw it.

A local brewery has a pickle beer, and it's not good (to me, at least).

The summer is a great time for some goses, though.

Here in Mississippi, we have several breweries, Lucky Town, Southern Prohibition and Chandeleur Island Brewery. I don't drink beer at all, but hubby is a sour lover and these are his favorites:
