I would love LeBron on my Sixers team. The thought of having Embiid, Okafor, Saric, and Simmons? Damn, I can only dream. LeBron has grown on me for the last few years. I was not a fan of his when he first entered the league. I will say that he has a lot of similarities that of MJ. LJ won a title with far less talent than any Bulls team of the 90s, including the Heat. You have to put him in the same discussion as MJ. It's BS if you don't.

Ask yourself this.. How has Lebron done against Kwani?

Now ask yourself what Lebron would do against an 8 time all NBA 1 team defender? Perhaps the best SF defender of all time? Then the Worm? 2 time NBA Defensive POY

Somehow these lebroniacs don't seem to grasp that concept!

You are pretty fucking stupid.

1991 Finals man. Lakers up 1-0. Pippen switched to Magic. Bulls win 4 in a row.

I see we are changing the argument to suit your purposes.

We were talking about Pippen playing press against Lebron James. Now you want to switch a generic situational and use an end result to disprove that initial point. That makes no sense.

I can't argue with your nostalgia.

At no point did I question Payton's abilities. He was also a Hall of Fame player.

Curry would likely have been beat up a lot in the 90s game. He would still have one of the all greatest shots in the history of basketball. Hand checking doesn't change that.

Of course hand checking changes an outside shot. :L

You get bumped around a pick and roll and can't get your feet set.. It's much harder. Slows you down. Apparently all you've done in the game of bball is play horse and grab towels as the team manager.

Curry is great shooter. But he's not as good in a physical league. It's pretty obvious

No.. This was your previous post. Try to keep up

Magic didn't have small forwards guarding him or at least not very well. If Pippen or the Worm were to try to press lebron he would blow by them.

You're right. I'm sure those amazing players of the 90s would have just shut down Lebron James. He would have just been a blip in the history of the league had he played in the big bad 90s.

Who the hell is saying that?!? Nobody!

Isn't the whole point of this thread how lebron would fare if he was drafted instead of Ewing?

And I've said many times (go back and read) that no one shuts Lebron down 1 on 1. You are over the place.

I'm no Lebron hater. I love good bball - would just be great to see his effort consistent on BOTH sides of the floor night in and night out.

If he wins the next 2 championships or 2 of the next 3, him and MJ are 1a and 1b of all time.

Lebron is in the league with Magic, Bird and MJ, but 6-0 in finals is better than 3-4, that is a fact.
Lebron had Wade, Bosh, Chalmers, Battier, Haslem, Lewis, Allen and Andersen on his last Miami championship team, that is a lot of quality support.

His stats overall are great. But Kwani has done a pretty dam good job on him especially in the Finals. That's what great defenders do. They make you do things you don't want to do. Yeah Lebron still get his numbers.

I'd love to see what the W/L is with the Cavs and Spurs since Kwani

It started out that way, but clearly the conversation has expanded.

Yeah because flyerhawk seems to think the east now is just as competitive as it was in the mid 80's till mid 90's

Jordan made the playoffs on a 31-win team. In 1991, he played the 39-win Knicks in the first round, the 43-win 76ers in the 2nd round, and 50-win Pistons in the ECF. In 1992, he played the 38-win Heat in the first round. In 1996, he played the 40-win Heat in the first round and the 44-win Knicks in the 2nd round.

The east was tougher for Jordan than it was for LeBron, but not by nearly as much as nostolgia wants us to believe. Whether you want to look at opponent wins, SRS, or ELO... the numbers are pretty close, though Jordan definitely has a decided edge.

You're talking about the first round. What was the opposition like in the 2nd round and the Conference Finals, and did lebron EVER face competition like that?

I hope we will be better than this in the near future. The future looks bright finally.

He's been pretty scary. Not sure I ever saw LeBron this locked in.
