People, it's Conor, not Connor. Jesus Christ.

In terms of the big fight, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have made a deal concrete, reports the Sun.

The agreement is yet to be formally signed as a result of a 'third party hold up', but it is going to happen. A source close to McGregor told the Irish Sun: "Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have agreed a deal to fight and have both settled on their respective fees.

"The contract hasn't officially been signed yet because of a third party hold-up but all the details have all been agreed on.

"The fight could even be announced within two weeks."

Money grab, he makes like 5-10 million a fight, he's going to probably make around 50 million for the Floyd fight.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even go back to the UFC after either.

Agreed. Connor is all about his brand and once he makes enough money he's going to tell the world "fuck you" and be done with fighting. Not that he won't drag it out a bit to squeeze every last dime out of it he can, and Dana will be following him like a puppy dog the whole way because Connor is their cash cow right now.

If Coner makes only $50M, I don't see him leaving the UFC. He has a addiction to spending a lot of money. He is Mayweather on a "budget".

Conor McGregor Reaches 'Record-Breaking' Deal for Floyd Mayweather Match

UFC star Conor McGregor confirmed Thursday that he has agreed to a “record-breaking” deal on a long-awaited match with boxer Floyd Mayweather.

“It is an honor to sign this record-breaking deal alongside my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management,” McGregor said in a statement to TheMacLife.com. “The first, and most important part of this historic contract has now officially been signed off on. Congratulations to all parties involved. We now await [promoter] Al Haymon and his boxer’s signature in the coming days.”

Financial terms of the agreement were not immediately available. The current record for largest purse in a prize fight is believed to be held by Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, who agreed to a 60-40 split of revenue for their 2015 boxing match on pay-per-view.

Mayweather’s cut for that fight totaled an estimated $220 million before taxes, according to ESPN. McGregor tallied $3 million in disclosed earnings from his rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202 last August, though estimates placed his actual income at several million dollars higher when factoring in PPV revenue and sponsorships.

McGregor, a mixed martial artist, initially demanded $100 million to fight the undefeated Mayweather in a boxing match. Mayweather countered with an offer of $15 million, plus a portion of PPV revenue.

UFC President Dana White also confirmed that an agreement with McGregor was in place during an appearance on TNT’s broadcast of Game 1 of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals, adding that he has yet to reach terms with Mayweather’s camp.

"The McGregor side is done," White said. "I'm starting to work on the Mayweather side now. …I'm not saying the fight will happen, but I've got one side done. Now it's time to work on the other. If we can come to a deal with Haymon and Mayweather, the fight's gonna happen."

Mayweather would destroy McGregor. Not knock him out, just out point him to death.

He would most likely. With gloves i dont see Conor power translating. It would be a waste of money but the sheer spectacle would sell it.

Once and for all we will find out who the best boxing country in the world is!

Ireland!

The USA!!

This time, its personal!

I would buy that.

Didn't the White, McGregor talks just work out a deal of how much UFC would get from McGregors cut since he is under contract with them?

Does McGregor actually think that Mayweather is not going to want at least 70% of this gate?

Should be winner takes a bigger percentage if this was the ideal world, but then again, you cannot have judges that will score either fighters usual style of cage or ring. It would have to be a fight to the finish so maybe Vince McMahon needs to get involved to do that part of it.

The fight is now official. I'll watch it at a sports bar rather than purchasing PPV.

Any predictions?

McGregor hits hard but Mayweather is as experienced as a boxer could be and he knows how to make people miss. I think that Mayweather has a lot more to lose. He would be absolutely embarrassed if he loses to an MMA fighter with no pro fights. I think Mayweather takes the fight and his training seriously.

It was weird that McGregor had a picture of Floyd's father with his fight announcement. He's probably trying to play mind games with him already.

Conor has a snowballs chance in hell. Mayweather has fought serious punchers before and won against all of them. He struggles against guys who arent afraid of him and Conor is that guy. Floyd is 39 years old and he better take the training seriously because of Conor lands some punches he will need the stamina. I think its fair to assume a Mayweather decision. There is intrigue, and i think its great for both sports of they go to war. I just dont see Conor making it happen. But who knows? Gonna still watch it though, for sheer spectacle alone. Who commentates though? Thats the real question lol.

One of my first thoughts about the fight is McGregor's reach advantage and timing with his punches then I looked at De La Hoya. He has spent his whole career boxing. He is 5'10 1/2 with a 73 inch reach. McGregor is 5'9 with a 74 inch reach. It will not be Mayweather's first fight against a guy with a reach advantage. Also, Mayweather has fought left handed fighters before so that is nothing new.

I think the sport of boxing has more to lose if McGregor wins because of how dominant Mayweather has been in his career.

I think it will be boxing commentators for the fight since they have more expertise. Before it got scheduled Joe Rogan said he didnt think he would be commentating at the event. It would be weird for a boxing commentator to call an MMA fight and vice versa.

I bet Conor gets frustrated and kicks Floyd right in the mouth.
