The only team since the Steeler's of '74 - '75 & '78 - '79 anyway.

Be the first to win 3 out of 4 twice.

Anyone see where Ress thinks NE could get a deal done with MB that was very similar to Logan Ryan's?? That would be nice. I don't see the need for him to go. Time to start over....

It's amazing BB leaves no stone unturned. Just like the 80 yard trick shot kicker.
In BB we trust. Damn we've been lucky as fans for almost a decade to watch the master.

How does a SB winning team with only 4 draft picks, starting in the 3rd round improve as much as NE did this off season?

Truly a master.

Heard a very interesting statistic today on CSNNE. The Patriots have 82 players on the roster and that leaves 8 open slots that can be filled before training camp opens in July.

The stat?......................Patriots are still $20M+ under the cap.

Think MB and JG might be offered a little something if the roster status quo holds????

Zo is hearing rumors that MB and NE are working on a long term deal to keep him in a Patriots uni. Makes perfect sense to me.

Cap goes up every year and I am sure there will be contracts coming up that will expire next off-season.

So Patriots did something interesting today. They placed a tender hardly ever used on Blount. Essentially this tender allows the team to still get a Comp pick if he is signed by another team. He also only has until July 22nd to find another team or he can only sign with the Patriots after that if he wants to play in 2017.

Patriots had one player slip through in Michael Floyd signed today and will not count towards the Comp Picks for the Patriots as that deadline has already passed.

Yeah, strange turn with the may 9 tender.
I guess it's only good for 10% more than the previous years salary...?

"Tom Brady signed endorsement deal with luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin. Brady will drive and endorse the DB11, which starts at $211,995"

Seems like Edelman should be the one to endorse a car called the DB11 lol.

They were talking about this on WEEI.. ... Got pretty funny. They were wondering if he was going to sell his Bentley cheap. Someone asked if he was driving one of $211K cars or if they were giving him the top of line car at $3M per.

FOXBORO STADIUM DEMOLISHED 15 YEARS AGO TODAY
  • i

    Mike ReissESPN Staff Writer

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Has it really been 15 years already?

Indeed, June 1 marks 15 years to the day that demolition of old Foxboro Stadium was completed. Soon enough, the New England Patriots would be playing in sparkling new Gillette Stadium.

At the time, the $325 million new stadium was actually called CMGI Field, named after an internet company based in Andover, Massachusetts that peaked in the late 1990s before falling on hard times.

But in August, the switch was made from CMGI to Gillette.

A reported 60,423 fans were in attendance as there was a celebratory feeling in the franchise finally finding a permanent home.

In 1977, a significant change was made at the stadium with the installation of a new Super Turf surface. In 1983, the name was changed from Schaefer Stadium to Sullivan Stadium. Then in 1990, the name changed to Foxboro Stadium.

The stadium, with aluminum benches and only select chair-back seats, wasn't known for its amenities. But it sure did produce some unforgettable memories.

Its final game, of course, was the "Snow Bowl" playoff victory over the Oakland Raiders on Jan. 19, 2002.

Then it was on this day, June 1, 2002, that the stadium was officially buried for good.
