If all the reports are true about him hitting 94+ I think by the beginning of the season he may be able to touch 96+. It seems though that he is trying to pitch more than throw which is a great sign. This trade may finally be the trade that Cashman had planned on. We can only hope that Pineda pitches to his potential and CC can learn how to be Pettite. If this happens we may look pretty good after all.
As a Mariners fan I can tell you guys that when Pineda was healthy for the Mariners his rookie year he looked like he had really good stuff.
What appeared to be a pretty even trade at first (Pineda for Montero) is now heavily in the Yankees favor as Montero is 50lbs overweight and looking like he could use some of what A-Rod was taking.
