This is becoming the biggest disaster of a season in team history. Starts off with Pollock being lost for most likely the season. Then the teams plays horribly. Peralta gets injured. Goldschmidt is playing poorly. The team's two biggest acquisitions of the past ten years perform far below expectations. One of them is so bad he has to be put on the DL. The second best pitcher of the staff in De La Rosa is also put on the DL and might be out for an extended period of time. The organization sends down two awful relievers only to bring up two relievers that are actually worse. The team is getting annihilated at home by the worst team in the division. Idk what to say anymore.
i may be negative, but one player i never lost faith in that could be a solid everyday player once healthy was.............. Chris Owings
just hit a homer, now hitting .301. Yes, the dude still doesn't walk much but never has, his strength is speed and the ability to be a nice gap hitter with occasional pop. Should still be everyday SS, but i can live with him splitting time between infield and outfield as long as he plays alteast 5 days a week
Great game from Bradley today. Too bad Hale still had another garbage lineup. Idk any manager like him that does not reward good play. Bourn goes 3-4 yesterday and gets benched. Tomas was 0-8 in his previous two games and gets to play and today goes 0-4. Why did he bench Bourn? Because of that right-lefty nonsense? Play the better player and stop worrying about who is pitching. Tomas has 7 hits in his last 49 at-bats with 4 rbi, 4 bb, and 9 so. That is a .143 batting average in his last 14 games played. Yeah Hale, keep on starting him. He adds so much to the team. I love watching better players rot on the bench.
