Iowa won the series vs Michigan and Iowa's SP is one of B1G's best. But Iowa's defense isn't the best, batting isn't great, and they don't use their speed that well in base running.
In 2nd inning, Michigan SP took line drive right into throwing elbow. Looks like he's staying in after practice throws.
Well, you lost to Ohio St 2-0 this morning. That eliminates you
from the tourney.
At 33-20 you should get consideration for a tourney bid. But
I went and looked at their schedule. Iowa played 3 Div 2 schools
during the season. They won't count those games.
All Florida teams used to schedule State Div 2 teams and stopped
that because you got no credit for them. Florida has excellent Div 2
Baseball. Tampa is a yearly contender for the Div 2 NC. All
those teams in the Sunshine Conf can be competitive, but you just can't
play them.
Is it that hard for Iowa to find midweek opponents?
