Sit Garland and play Merrill and Lavert. Garland doesn’t deserve to play

Guy does take a lot of crap but admittedly when we went on the run in 3rd without him I was fine if they stuck with them and sat him in the 4th.

Gotta give the kid credit, though, as he showed up in the 4th/crunch time. Think 16 of the 30 points could be attributed to him with no TOs.

Great to also see Mitchell AND the role players show up.

Really isn’t the point. Nobody is stepping up. Lavert has been good. Garland had been absolutely awful.
Honestly a win would be great but I want to see steps towards the future not just Mitchell taking over. If that makes sense

what I wanted to see was Mitchell AND the role players stepping up and they did. Game 6 was just Mitchell, but games 2-5 Mitchell was awful and carried to 2 wins.

Now can we get Allen and wade back?

I understand but it's game 7, get the win and worry about the future next series.

As dtgold and I have been discussing, it may be that this rebuild has stalled and this core won't be contenders so maybe you prefer not to get invested, so I understand that.

and it may be this team improved and took another step like they have every year in the rebuild.

But I can agree to win a title might need someone other than a 6-2 guard to be our best player.

Guy is hard to figure out some times. Can miss some open shots but when he gets hot he makes everything no matter how difficult.

Will say no matter how he is shooting he will always work/hustle his ass off, play some D and rebound.

Allen is the most important player on the team. The fact they won 2 of the 3 without him is a nice

Yep our record with and without him makes that clear.

Hard to believe we'd win but somehow get Allen AND Wade with no Zinger? We have a shot to at least make it interesting.

Mobley seems a lot like AD. You can always count on his defense, but when it comes to offense, he's perfectly happy to just play defense and let others score, even though he has a very good offensive skillset.

Well said...needs to be more aggressive at times.

Just looked at the 3 matchups this year. Cleveland never had their entire starting 5 available on any of the 3 games

Nope...and won the last one without Mitchell and Mobley, erasing a 20 point deficit in 2nd half.

Yeah you just don't have THE GUY yet, it was supposed to maybe be Mobley. Like I said in another thread, Minnesota (and maybe OKC) is what it looks like when THE GUY emerges. Cleveland is still looking.

Hopefully that changes. Hope Allen is back at least but getting DWade back could be great too. Niang is doing nothing

But Niang will get another shot and he should. Doubt the guy forgot how to shoot. But like the last few games of the series if he doesn't have his shot he'll need to sit.

I think Merrill will get a chance, as well.....guessing tougher to do vs. Magic due to their size. Not that Cs are small, but not as big especially with no Zinger.

Fair...but I think if they had injury issues like we did this year OKC and MN struggle to win 50...maybe even 45.

I'm referring to how they look in the playoffs. Minnesota looks like a legit contender and OKC lacks only experience. Cleveland is not near their level, and still needs to find THE GUY to get there.

also fair....but what if Minnesota was missing Gobert for a few games and whoever their equivalent of Wade is? Not that he's more than a role player, but who can shoot and play D who we could really use.

Not trying to diminish either as their rise has been amazing and surprising (especially MN).

I dunno, doesn't change my point: they have their #1 who can win a championship, Cleveland probably doesn't (right now)
